I Found More Power in my 2021 Trek Domane LT+

I Found more power in my new 2021 Trek Domane LT+ electric road bike! As delivered from Trek full power Rocket mode had up to 250 watts of power. Using the Fazua ride app I could adjust the power up to 300 watts...like free power! I could also tune the Ramp Up speed (the speed at which the power assist ramps up). Nice to find some extra power plus being able to tune the power and power character in each assist mode. Full carbon Domane frame with adjustable ISO-speed, Shimano Ultegra drivetrain/brakes, removeable Fazua motor/battery, and on sale for $3850 at the local Trek factory store (original MSRP was around $5500). After enjoying my e-MTB's so much I have gotten back into road bike riding with pedal assist road bikes (Domane+ and Domane LT+) The Domane LT+ has (3) modes of assist: Breeze (like Eco) which provides 100 watts of assist, River (like e-MTB) matches your input up to about 200 watts, and Rocket (like Turbo) which provides full assist power. As delivered from Trek Rocket mode only had up to 250 watts of power. Using the Fazua app I turned up Rocket mode to 300 watts of power and the extra power is noticeable. Of course it will reduce the riding range though I ride mostly in Breeze (Eco) and switch to River and Rocket mostly when the wind is against me or I want some help on the hills. Top Impressions: 1. Natural - this bike "feels" like riding a regular pedal bike. The power assist is very smooth even in Rocket mode 2. Comfort ISOSPEED frame works, this bike is comfortable 3. Fun: this bike is fun to ride with just enough assist to help with wind, hills, or fast riding buddies!
