A young, desolate life (Redux) is a remaster of an EATEOT fan project that aims to build upon the ideas of the original (AYDL), introducing deeper themes and emotions, improved tracks, and a more nuanced representation of adolescent Batten's disease. It also strives to preserve its essence while improving its quality. Samples from the 2000s, 2020's, and even the 90s-80s are degraded, distorted, and forgotten to give an idea of the memory loss, motor issues, and general sensory difficulties present in the disease. This is a stylized portrayal and is not meant to be entirely accurate. PART 1: ...And so, the curtains open. Symptoms creep in slowly like the leaves fall during autumn and give way to winter. Most goes unnoticed. Vision blurs, motor skills dull and school performance begins to grow in difficulty. Unknowingly, days are now counted.
