Saja’s Story: Learning to Read, Learning to Believe | UNICEF Jordan
For 11-year-old Saja in Za’atari Refugee Camp, reading was once a challenge that made her hesitate. But with the support of her school library and UNICEF’s Reading Recovery Programme, every page became a step toward confidence. Today, Saja reads in class, shares stories with younger children, and carries the joy of learning beyond the classroom — to her home, her family, and her future. With support from the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the PROSPECTS Partnership, UNICEF is helping children in Syrian refugee camps in Jordan strengthen their reading skills, rebuild confidence, and continue their learning journey.
