Inside My Textile Studio | Where I Create Quilts, Workshops & Textile Art
Welcome to Part 4 of my In The Studio series — a long overdue studio tour! I’ve had so many requests to show more of the space where I create my textile art, film tutorials and workshops, experiment with fabric, and develop new ideas, so here it is. In this video I take you around my semi-organised (and often messy!) textile studio — the evolving creative space where I work with vintage fabrics, natural dyes, patchwork, slow stitching, appliqué and quilting. My studio is always changing and being adapted depending on what I’m making, filming or teaching at the time, so this is a very real look behind the scenes of my creative practice. I share: • My textile art workspace • Fabric and scrap storage • Tools and materials I use regularly • My filming and workshop setup • Works in progress and inspiration • The reality of an evolving creative studio I’d love to know what you think of the space. If you have any ideas or suggestions for improving my studio, or if there’s anything you’d like to know about my textile practice, materials, or process, leave me a comment below. If you enjoy textile art, quilting, slow stitching, sustainable textiles, fabric collage, mindful making and behind-the-scenes studio videos, don’t forget to subscribe for more. #textileart #studiotour #textileartist #slowstitch #quilting #patchwork #fiberart #applique #creativeprocess #artiststudio #textiledesign #fabricart #naturaldye #mindfulmaking #sustainabletextiles
