"Don't Rush to Judgment" / Pastor James Merritt / May 5, 2024
One of the most popularly quoted verses of Scripture is found in the first verse of Matthew 7: “Judge not, that you be not judged.” People often use this verse to justify their wrong behavior or to condemn someone else. But what does Jesus really mean in this verse about judging others? In today’s sermon, Pastor Merritt preaches from Matthew 7 to highlight that while accurately judging someone is not wrong, we first need to make sure our own heart is right.
