The dealer was notified of the suspicion. He faces up to 10 years in prison. The operative-investigative measures were carried out by employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Odessa region of the National Police together with investigators of the Investigations Department of the Main Police Department in the Odessa region. According to the investigation, the chief of staff - deputy commander of one of the military units - guaranteed the serviceman who had voluntarily left his place of service assistance in his reinstatement and release from legal consequences. According to the defendant, this issue required approval from the command, which he allegedly could provide, and the only condition for a positive solution was the provision of $1,500. After completing the relevant documents for enlisting the soldier in the unit and receiving the agreed amount of money, the police detained the official in a procedural manner. Investigators collected enough evidence, on the basis of which they informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 (receiving an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of up to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property. The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 908,400 UAH. The investigation is ongoing. The procedural management of the case is carried out by the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Field of Defense of the Southern Region.
