20 Yrs in Thailand - Addiction to Pattaya Nightlife & How I Lost It All 2026 marks exactly 20 years since I first started visiting and living in Thailand. Over the last two decades, I’ve made enough massive mistakes to write an entire book—and in this video, I’m coming completely clean about the raw truth of my journey. #thailand #pattayanightlife #addiction I don't hold anything back. I talk openly about getting completely addicted to the Pattaya nightlife and the girls, and how that spiral led to some of my biggest life lessons. I address the reality of marrying a Thailand bar girl, the financial traps of trying to buy land, building a house, and buying a restaurant only to convert it into a bar before eventually losing absolutely everything. Beyond the money, I talk about my circle of friends over the years and why you simply cannot trust everybody in this environment. To make sense of it all, I break my 20-year journey down into the three phases every long-term expat goes through: The Honeymoon Phase (Where everything is perfect) The Frustration Phase (Where the dark reality sets in) The "Way It Is" Phase (Acceptance, finding peace, and moving forward) I also reflect on some of the most horrific things I've witnessed over two decades, including sudden deaths in Thailand. Ultimately, this isn't a video to bash the country. It’s a reflection on how to survive the traps, live a good life, be a good person, and accept a hard truth: no matter how much I love Thailand, how long I stay, or how hard I try to fit into the Land of Smiles... I can never be Thai. And on that final note, I still absolutely love this place.
