BOGOR, KOMPAS.TV - The Ministry of Environment has sealed four buildings suspected of violating land permits, causing flooding. This sealing follows the recent flooding in Puncak, Bogor, West Java. The four tourist attractions were sealed: a tea factory located at Telaga Saat, Gunung Mas Agrotourism, the Hibiscus Fantasy tourist attraction, and the Eiger adventure tourism site, which is still under construction in Megamendung District, Bogor Regency. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that the management had previously been warned and asked to demolish the buildings themselves. However, the warnings were not followed, and Dedi finally ordered the demolition on Thursday afternoon (March 6, 2025). Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, along with Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, and the Bogor Regent, conducted unannounced inspections of several tourist locations in Puncak. Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan stated that he did not rule out the possibility of increasing the number of sealed locations. Environment Minister Hanif Faisol emphasized that the government would not only seal tourist sites but would also take the case to the criminal court, as the spatial planning changes from what was originally a protected area have now turned into residential areas.
