The #Ford #Ranger mid-size pickup #truck returns to the US market after an eight-year hiatus, despite being sold in other markets for most of the decade. Its return is better late than never as the Toyota Tacoma has dominated mid-size truck sales. The big story of this new Ranger is found under the hood, where the only engine option is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder mated to a 10-speed automatic. It produces a healthy 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, giving it best-in-class towing. The EcoBoost engine is one of our favorites in the mid-size truck class and helps make this Ranger feel like a strong competitor despite its age.
