Weaving Empowerment The Borchapori Story | Golaghat | Assam

The Borchapori Handloom Centre, located in Hazarigaon, Golaghat, Assam, a Tea Tribal area, has become a hub of self-reliance for approx. 3000 women beneficiaries. Through strategic collaborations with the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM),Swanibhar Nari scheme of the Handloom Department, Government of Assam, and support from Cairn Oil & Gas, the Centre has transformed traditional weaving into a powerful means of income generation and dignity for several women beneficiaries.
