Choosing and Fitting a Violin Shoulder Rest

In this tutorial, I discuss how to choose the right shoulder rest for you, and I will demonstrate how to fit a shoulder rest, using my very own brand new Bon Musica shoulder rest, straight from the box. It's a tricky question to answer as there's no official guide. You should also consider other dimensions of the shoulders to find the perfect fit and go to a violin shop if you can and have a professional fit you. It really is a case of trial and error but hopefully you have some idea of your neck length in comparison to other people, so can take a good guess.
