İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzesi (Belgesel) Yönetmen: Hikmet Yaşar Yenigün

One of the world's most important and prestigious museums... It was founded in 1869 under the name "Müze-i Hümayun" (Imperial Museum). During Osman Hamdi Bey's tenure as museum director between 1881 and 1910, it rose to become one of the world's leading museums. Built in 1891, with its facade architecture inspired by the Sarcophagus of the Weeping Women, the Istanbul Archaeological Museum is known as one of the oldest museum buildings in the world. It has 36 exhibition halls. The museum's rich collections include artifacts brought from regions under Ottoman rule.
