A young Carabinieri marshal arrives in Corleone in 1949 and finds the remains of Placido Rizzotto in the Rocca Busambra sinkholes. That marshal's name was Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa. It was the beginning of a thirty-year battle against Cosa Nostra. The first part of the series on Dalla Chiesa recounts the origins of his fight against the Mafia: from Corleone to the 1960s in Palermo, through major mysteries such as the disappearance of Mauro De Mauro and the murder of prosecutor Pietro Scaglione.
