Border Song - Elton John
On Elton John's eponymous album from 1970 we find the track Border Song which was actually Elton John's first charting song ever, peaking at number 34 in Canada. The song is of course a collaboration between Elton John and his long-time lyricist Bernie Taupin, although Elton John did in fact write the third verse himself, which is quite unusual. In live settings the song has been performed almost exclusively solo, while there has been occasions where the song has been performed with the band as well as orchestra. This version is inspired by recent solo versions and of course solo versions from the 1999/2000 solo tours.
