Abandoned Funeral Home FULL of Caskets
The business motto "Here today, Here tomorrow, Here for YOU” was the longtime greeting of the once prosperous Cox & Son Funeral Home in Jellico, Tennessee. Unfortunately, that same motto now serves as an eerie and rather foreboding premonition after a devastating fire ripped through the century old funeral home on the afternoon of July 10, 2024. Cox & Son Funeral Home had been an integral part to the small, quiet town’s story since 1910 and now after 115 years, it will only remain a distant memory to the people of Jellico as the funeral home was a total loss after such a devastating blaze. The old funeral home was demolished shortly after the fire, but not before we got a chance to explore it and show you all what it looked like after such tragedy. Well as the old saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and that couldn’t be more true when we traveled south to Tennessee to visit the now condemned abandoned funeral home.
