Caramelized Almonds - Vegan and Sugar-Free | evagoodlife These almonds are delicious and excellent for Easter or Christmas. A way to enjoy sweet almonds during these festive times, without the harmful effects of sugar! Believe me, they are truly delicious!!! Ingredients: • 200g almonds • 2 ½ cups rice syrup • 1 tsp coconut oil • 1 tsp cinnamon • pinch of sea salt • lemon or orange zest 1. Wash the almonds and dry them with a cloth. 2. Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and toast them in a preheated oven at 150º for about 10 to 15 minutes, or in a frying pan without any added fat, for a few minutes, stirring constantly. 3. Heat the rice syrup with the coconut oil and bring to a boil. Add the salt and cinnamon and let it boil for about 2 minutes. 4. Turn off the heat and add the almonds and lemon zest and mix well. 5. Spread the almonds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180º for about 5 to 8 minutes (depending on the oven). 6. Remove and let cool completely before storing in a tightly sealed container. Have a good life, evagoodlife!
