With its magnificent scenery, the Rocky Mountains long provided refuge for remarkable biodiversity before coming under pressure from human activities. For more than thirty years, from Yellowstone National Park in the United States to the Canadian territory of Yukon, environmentalists, local communities, and scientists have been working hand in hand to try to restore this fragile ecosystem.
