After a long period of construction, the Wirye Tram has officially begun trial runs. As actual trains pull into the previously empty platforms, the reality of the opening is finally starting to sink in. This video captures what we observed firsthand on-site, covering: ✔ The appearance of the train during actual trial runs ✔ The characteristics of the tram moving according to signals ✔ Scenes of stopping, charging, and passing through stations ✔ The vehicle and platform structure being shorter than expected ✔ The unique driving method of running without overhead wires In particular, this trial run is alternating between the Macheon Station to Bokjeong Station section and the Namwirye Station section. It is regrettable that we could not properly verify the train's entry in the Bokjeong Station area, as construction is still ongoing there. The operating method, which is completely different from the subway, and the platform structure resembling a bus stop are also impressive. What will the Wirye Tram look like when it finally enters our daily lives? 👉 In the next video, we will cover in detail the "points we found lacking after seeing it in person," such as station locations, routes, and structures.
