Date of photo: July 17, 2026 Lack of rain… With temperatures reaching 35°C by midday every day, there are no mushrooms growing anywhere in my hometown. Even in times like these, grass never disappoints. I believe the biggest advantage of grass is that it can be harvested at the same time every year. This time, we gathered kudzu flowers and vines from the jungle behind my house, beautiful daylilies and morning glories blooming along the riverbank, the disliked wild grapevine, as well as mugwort, perilla, and persimmon buds.
