20181214_Roman ships of Zwammerdam restored in Museum Park Archeon
Clip on the project `Operation Zwammerdam Ships', the restoration project of six Roman ships, discovered in the harbour of Nigrum Pullum, near the modern vilage Zwammerdam. This is one fo the Roman forts along the river Rhine, which functioned as the northern boder of the Roman Empire in the Netherlands, also known as the Lower German Limes. The restoration is the initiative of Stichting Museumpark Archeon and 1Arch / Hazenberg Archeologie. The project aimes the establishment of the new National Roman Maritime Museum.
