How to Use Directional Ribbon Without the Pattern Being Upside Down

Directional ribbon can be tricky because the design has a right side up and an upside down. In this quick ribbon tip, I show how to add a directional American flag ribbon to the center of a patriotic bow without turning the flag pattern upside down. This video does not show how to make the entire bow from start to finish. Instead, it focuses on one helpful ribbon technique: placing directional ribbon correctly so the design faces the right way in the finished bow. You can use this same technique with other directional wired ribbons, including ribbon with words, flags, characters, pumpkins, ornaments, animals, or any design that needs to face a certain direction. In this video, you’ll learn: • What directional ribbon is • Why some ribbon designs can end up upside down • How to place directional ribbon in the center of a bow • How to think through ribbon direction before attaching it • A helpful technique for patriotic bows, wreath bows, lantern bows, and seasonal decorating Ribbon used in this video: Stars & Stripes Wired Ribbon: https://thefancycrow.com/product/star...
