Years Ago || Gravity Falls Animatic

Another angsty Stan and Ford animatic BUT ITS DIFFRENT cause um… this time it’s about Stan(?) everyone clap. I had this idea wayyyy back in 2024, before my last one even. The worms in my head lay dormant until 2026 i suppose. I’ve always really loved Welcome to my nightmare and thought this would make an awesome song for an animation. So I am very happy with it, I know it’s not a hugely popular song and idk how YouTube will treat her in the recommendations but I hope whoever bothers to read this and watches enjoys!! I wanted to try my hand at a more somber animation, but try to still keep interest. It’s hard when they’re on that damn swing 80% of the time but I think I did alright lol The idea behind this one came from how Alex Hirsch cut out the Book of bill lore that Bill Cipher had entered Stan’s dream to try and convince him to make a deal like he did with the other characters. And I think - honestly this is my hill to die on - that the reason Bill lost was underestimating my king Stanley Pines. But I thought it would be interesting to explore a world where as revenge for ruining his plans with Ford he gives Stan a nightmare the night of the portal incident when he’s sleeping on the couch. Taunting him with what he wants, to go back to a time he was happy with his family, and showing his future where he fakes his car accident and never sees them again. I always thought the note on the website that only his mom came the the funeral so sad like bro wtf 😭😭😭 i tried drawing those big ghibli tears cause THATS HOW I FEEL WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT Tiktok is pretty strict these days and muted my animatic again so i am very greatful to everybody who made the journey over here Anyway, kicking my feet, hope you enjoy!
