HMAS Hobart's Final Voyage, Speed Trial 36 knots
Video I shot as a 'Sea-Rider aboard Australian Navy warship HMAS Hobart. On the final day of her final voyage the engines were asked for a final burst of speed and this greyhound of the sea took off at 36 knots! For the landlubbers that's about 65 to 70 kilometres an hour from a 4500 ton, 40 years old ship! You may go for a dive on her now, she rests on the seabed but you may never know the thrill of hurtling across the seas in this incredible ship.
