SOUS LE FEU ENNEMI - Michel Goya (épisode 32)
Michel Goya, a non-commissioned officer and later an officer in the French Army, shares his story with Vétérans de France. An infantryman and marine in the French Marines, he led troops in combat on several occasions. He was notably deployed to Rwanda, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Central African Republic, New Caledonia, and the jungles of French Guiana. He experienced the ultimate test of combat, thus confirming the idea of death as a common occurrence for the French soldier. He recounts his story with great humanity, humor, and humility. A compelling account, from his military training to his aspirations for history, from the human element of command to the ingenuity he displayed under enemy fire during the siege of Sarajevo. Now a well-established historian and writer, sought after by academic research groups, video game companies, and filmmakers alike, he offers insightful advice and a realistic perspective on military matters. But not so long ago, he was commanding infantrymen under fire, deep in the jungle or Eastern Europe. Embark on an adventure with Michel Goya in a unique and captivating story… - This video was produced by the Veterans of France association using its own funds.
