The lavender illumination event has kicked off again this year at Hinode Park in Kamifurano. Things are a little different this time around, though. For starters, the event started more than a week earlier than usual, so the lavender is still in the bud stage. Also, there is now a parking fee (500 yen). However, admission to the park itself is free! That is truly appreciated. And, as always, the illumination is breathtaking!
