Today we're in Hamburg, Germany, visiting one of the most famous independent LEGO stores in Europe – Bricks Bramfeld. This place is packed with retired sets, rare minifigures, mountains of loose bricks and plenty of temptation for any LEGO collector. The plan was simple: have a look around, see what all the fuss is about, and try not to spend too much money... That didn't last very long. Not only did I find my first LEGO purchase of the trip, but I managed to pick up a retired football set for around half the price I'd expect to pay back home in the UK!
