I have passed these things throughout my entire Sheffield life and shortly before when I first mistook them, as a small kid staring out his dad's car window, for a load of  old train carriages embedded in the side of a hill. Little did I know at the time that taking a load of birds several hundred miles away across the English channel and leaving them to find their way home again was actually a sport. Also thrown in at the start is a little one-minute movie called 'Cat Burglar Among the Pigeons' just as a bit of fun.
