Chris Hendry is hosting the Middlesex Bonsai Society (London Ontario Canada) for a Raku firing workshop presented by Canadian ceramic artist, Chris Snedden! Raku firing is a unique pottery technique, rooted in a traditional Japanese method, known for its dramatic, unpredictable results. It involves removing pottery from the kiln while it's still glowing hot and placing it in a container with combustible materials, like sawdust or newspaper, to create a reduction atmosphere and unique surface effects.
