SUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT BEGINS AT: 1:37:07 On this stream we continue with Part 4 as Ike's team ! This is a fog of war map with potential for nasty surprises. Let's see what it has in store for us Post-stream thoughts: This was a rough chapter, moreso than the previous imo as there are some real monster swordmasters and snipers lurking in that fog. That said, you are largely better off just waiting for them to advance to the centre out of their range (where it isn't just some halberds or armors that is). The southern part can become pretty overwhelming if you don't cull them as they advance, which Ike did a great job of whilst stealing plenty of kills, but we did get our units to a decent position by the end of this chapter regardless. Lyre got strength and speed levels, I gave her a seraph robe so she can now tank arc-tomes, and everyone else who isn't promoted is sitting at around lvl17-18. That's no trouble to bring them to the tower with, as they will gain exp quickly there and the first map is a bit of a defensive push that allows for prioritising kills. A number of them might end up in the next map as well, depending on deployment slots and other unit levels. Either way, we are looking good By the way, if it looked like I was being overly defensive towards the end of the chapter, that's because I absolutely was. I was anticipating a random stray enemy coming out of the fog at any moment, or too many aggroing from the east at once, so I made my advances slow and when I tried to get the physic staff I would canto away to avoid an awful enemy phase from the darkness. In the end, it was not necessary as it was already past turn 15, and there was only like 1 flier and an armor knight there so no trouble for ike to just blindly walk south and aggro. The rest don't even move, so you're good to just go down and rout with whoever. IF you ever use disarm with ike, bring flourish. Don't let him steal your kills; he gets plenty of EXP in the tower and just from ike doing ike things. Better yet, put disarm on a less deadly unit that can be unequipped if need be on enemy phase, someone with high skill who doubles a lot (mia) _____________________________________________________________________________________________ This is brought to you at 3x native resolution, showing a clearer picture than if you played it on the Wii console like I used to. Though we may experience some audio distortion and dropped frames on occasion, as I do not have a crazy rig to play this on, I think it's serviceable and worth it for the visual fidelity nonetheless ! 8) This run is mainly to show how the weaker units in fire emblem can still very much be used in a playthrough to great effect and aren't actually terrible or useless after all, despite the majority of tiermakers' opinions to the contrary. Even when you choose to level everyone at once to get them all primed for endgame !
