The Sullivan Family Band (June 2008) Some storytelling plus "The Scarlet Purple Robe"

The Sullivan Family Band performed around the world for 60 years, and was lead for many of those years by Enoch Sullivan and his wife Margie Brewster Sullivan. The Sullivans are from Alabama, and Margie from Louisiana. This is the band that gave a very young Marty Stuart his professional start. The Sullivans are now members of the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. Enoch died in 2011, his brother Emmett in 1993, and their father Arthur in 1957. This performance was captured in Owensboro, KY, on June 26, 2008.
