Shrimpenstein (1967) was a Fan Club record from the TV show hosted by Gene Moss (Dr. Von Schtick)

Shrimpenstein, voiced by Jim Thurman and Dr. Rudolph Von Schtick (Gene Moss) were the characters of a kids Saturday morning TV show in Los Angeles, CA. The Horror Host became popular similarly the way John Zacherle ("The Cool Ghoul") did using creepy themes and comedy on his show Chiller Theatre in 1961, especially during the Halloween season. The show aired from 1967-1968 and this record was given to members of the Shrimpenstein Fan Club. I am highlighting side A - "Dr. Von Schtick And The Tijuana Bats– The Shrimpenstein Song" since it was the theme song for the show. There are three versions of the theme on side A, each done in a different character. You can find the side B novelty song "Karate Man" on other Youtube channels. Of course Gene Moss is also known for his "Dracula's Greatest Hits" LP with Jack Davis artwork.
