Two Days in the Woods

We paddled downriver and built a fishing camp deep in the woods, planning to stay put for two days. This trip wasn’t about rushing from spot to spot or chasing numbers. It was about finding a place that felt right, setting up camp, cooking good food, riding out changing weather, and seeing what the river was willing to give us. Late fall brings quiet to the woods, cold mornings on the water, and long hours waiting on something that might only happen once. We fished, we cooked, we waited, and eventually the river answered.
