Sliabh Aughty in Galway 2025-05-18

Sliabh Aughty Ceili Band (Jim Corry, Mark Donnellan and Charlie Harris) provided music for this ceili celebrating the 50th anniversary of the twinning of Galway and Lorient, Brittany, in Galway Rowing Club, Galway. The sets danced were the Moycullen (9:00), Claddagh (23:05), Derradda (39:30, called by Traolach Ó Conghaile), Plain (55:05), Ballyvourney Jig (1:24:10), Caledonian (1:34:55) and Connemara (1:53:50). Around half the dancers were visitors from Brittany, and during the break (1:16:05) and after the end of the ceili (2:12:00, 2:14:15) they danced Breton dances.
