How to collect a dried blood spot sample

This video explains how to collect a dried blood spot sample, with community health workers and other frontline health providers as the primary audience. We explain what materials you need as well as how to collect and record the sample from the patient. This video was created in collaboration with the South and Southeast Asian Community-based Trials Network (SEACTN) for a study to help identify common causes of febrile illness. Some of the instructions are specific to SEACTN, but we hope the majority of the instructions are still helpful and applicable to a general audience.
