Windhoek loses N$2.7m annually to illegal electricity connections
By: Ketemba Tjipepa The City of Windhoek says it loses an estimated N$2.7 million every year because of illegal electricity connections. City spokesperson Lydia Amutenya told NewsOnOne the real losses could be even higher because the city does not have enough resources to inspect illegal connections as often as it should. The City recently announced that it will crack down on illegal electricity connections across the city from the 1st of September this year.
