"My tank was blown up by an IED and I was sent 40ft in the air" - Lance Corporal tells his story
Lance Corporal Murray Hambro was serving in Afghanistan in 2010 when the tank he was commanding drove over a huge roadside IED. The injuries he suffered were devastating. Struggling to cope with life as a double amputee, things spiralled further downhill when he lost his son, Louis, to a terminal illness when he was just two-years-old. But with the support of family, friends, military charities and a love affair with superbikes, Murray has rebuilt his life. *You can help heroes like Murray by playing the Veterans’ Lottery.
