Leben mit Legasthenie | Intelligenz ist mehr als nur lesen und schreiben

If you have dyslexia, you're quickly labeled as lazy, stupid, or unintelligent. All my teachers always told me: Artur, you need to read more. If you read a lot, your spelling will improve. So I always assumed that I hated reading only because I was lazy and undisciplined. As a result, I began to feel ashamed of my dyslexia and worked hard to overcome it. And only by a stroke of luck did I discover that I wasn't stupid, but simply dyslexia. On the one hand, it sounded like a terrible illness to me, but on the other hand, it helped me understand my situation and accept myself as I am. And the more I realized that dyslexia isn't an illness, but simply a different way of thinking, the easier it was for me to find my own path in life and be happy with it.
