I AM ADDICTED | Experiencing Megaloops on Hydrofoil

Storms are rare in the northeast of Germany. We needed to be patient. But finally we got the perfect conditions for our project. About two years ago I started a documentary about Hydrofoil Kitesurfer Borja Vellón García. We were able to show his extraordinary passion in that discipline. Unfortunately we missed good conditions for Megaloops and we decided to work on a second part in the future. In January 2023 the perfect storm hit the coast with up to 40 knots. We only had four days to get everything ready. We needed deep water close to the shore and safe wind directions. We decided to go to Ahrenshoop, a small town in the northeast of Germany. In the beginning the wind was not as strong as expected but soon the sand began to fly.
