Missouri River Predators - Pike On The Fly | Project In The Wild No. 57 With Kris Keller

The Missouri River isn’t exactly known for pike fishing. But over the last few years, rumors have been spreading about giant northern pike crushing flies in these waters. Friend of The Fly Project, Kris Keller, is best known for his trout streamers, nymphs, and dry fly patterns tied through Montana Fly Company. Lately, though, he’s been hooked on chasing pike and designing new patterns specially for northern. In this episode, Jay links up with Keller to explore new water and put a few new fly patterns to the test. Early spring pike are locked into pre-spawn mode, but changing weather and fluctuating water temps had the fish constantly on the move. It took patience and a lot of water covered to finally get it done. YS X FP PACKS: https://houseoffly.com/tfp-featured/f... KELLERS FLIES: https://houseoffly.com/shop/flies/col...
