FBI Busts Corrupt New Orleans Police Drug Cartel
In New Orleans in 1993, the FBI launched “Operation Broken Arrow” to combat police corruption. With the help of an informant, they infiltrated a network of agents who were collaborating with drug traffickers. The investigation exposed a dark underworld of crime, extortion, and murder. The case of Len Davis, an officer sentenced to death for orchestrating a murder, became the symbol of the purge. The FBI managed to arrest and prosecute more than a dozen officers, prompting much-needed reform.
