THE ORGANISM | Virtual Kurenivka Camp at Burning Man 2020: The Multiverse

THE ORGANISM was the virtual edition of Kurenivka Camp, created for Burning Man 2020: The Multiverse, when the global pandemic moved the entire event online. Instead of building a physical camp in the Nevada desert, the Kurenivka community created a digital living space where participants from around the world could meet, interact, and experience the spirit of Burning Man in a new format. The project explored the idea of a community as a living organism — a network of people connected by creativity, culture, and shared values, even when physically separated. Inside the virtual camp, visitors could join conversations, explore Ukrainian culture, participate in creative sessions, and connect with burners from different countries in a digital environment built specifically for the Multiverse. THE ORGANISM became a symbol of resilience and adaptation, showing that the Burning Man spirit can exist beyond the playa — wherever people come together to create, collaborate, and support one another.
