El Topo, Gorge du Verdon
This is how to almost send all the 13 pitches of El Topo (8a Verdon Gorge, France). Leon and I sent all the pitches, but both fell 1 meter before the anchor of the 8a pitch...(this is the last crux of the route). After working out the 8a and the 7c (pitch 12 and 10), we climbed the first 7 pitches on day 1. (two 7b+ and a 7b I had to do second go...). Then we spent a night on the ledge after pitch 3, jumared up to our highpoint and did the upper part of the route on the second day. Very tired and satisfied we reached the top, what a route! A great project. Video made by: Swaen Harmsen
