I visited Kusatsu Onsen Otaki-no-Yu on the occasion of "Rope-pulling," the day when the water turns pure white. I stayed the night before in Shin-Maebashi and took a solo day trip to Kusatsu Onsen. I left after work on Friday night and returned home on Saturday night, which allowed me to relax on Sunday. Personally, it felt like a great deal, so it's a favorite itinerary and I've been there many times. While private baths are often relatively expensive, I enjoyed Gokurakukan, where you can enjoy a wonderful hot spring for just 1,000 yen per hour. And to finish off my trip, I enjoyed Shirahata-no-Yu, a public bath with scorching hot water.
