After flying from Melbourne to Tokyo, we make a risky decision to catch multiple trains across Japan to reach Unazuki Onsen in time for the famous Kurobe Gorge Railway. The catch? We only had less than 15 minutes in Toyama to run out of the station, drop off our luggage at the hotel, and get back in time to catch the next train. Missing it wasn’t an option — because our tickets for the railway were non-refundable, and it was also the second last day of the operating season!
