We're continuing our grand road trip across Turkey—and after magical but chilly Cappadocia, we're finally heading to the Mediterranean. Ahead lies Alanya: the fortress, the sea, Cleopatra's Beach, beautiful views, and, of course, cats! But the road to the coast wasn't just a simple drive. Along the way, we stopped at the rock-cut Gümüşler Monastery—an unexpected and very atmospheric place—and then reached the Mamure Fortress. This is perhaps one of the most impressive fortresses we've seen in Turkey: enormous walls, the sea right next to us, and the feeling of a true medieval adventure. And then—Alanya. We strolled around the center, saw the famous Cleopatra Beach, climbed up to the fortress with views of the city and the sea, visited Damlataş Cave, and found a very cute place for cat lovers—a cat park. We'll also show you Konakli and the unusual Days Inn hotel, located right in the mall. Yes, that's true in Turkey!
