Quite the opposite: Disney has made over twelve billion dollars with the saga (three times more than it paid for it). And, what's more, there's more Star Wars than ever: six films, almost twenty series, and even a theme park. It doesn't make sense—how can something that's making more money than ever die? The answer lies in a series of decisions made by Disney, which at the time seemed like the right approach, but which in reality proved to be quite the opposite.
