Marshall JCM800 2203 Reissue | The King Of All? |
This amp was built in 2019 and purchased by myself. This amp is a cut above the rest. It's really opened my eyes to high gain amps. I'm a tragic for single channel amps and this has blown my mind. Despite the high gain propensity, it is so dynamic and responsive to a point that I didn't think it would be able to. The EQ is very powerful, although, in the video I don't change it at all due to the room issues I have. Gaining the amp up is the way to go with single coil guitars like mine. You get the searing leads along with the sensitivity. The compression is really interesting in this amp. Sometimes it feels like it can take a while to bloom, but it still has this tight low end that growls at you like a caged lion. In all seriousness, this amp is ace. It has quickly become my number 1. Please comment if you have had a chance to play one of these as I would love to hear some other opinions. Cheers. Jono.
