Go for the non-plus! Avance Logic Inc. ALS100 ISA Soundcard playing DOOM2 music (OPL3 FM)

The Avance Logic ALS100 is a budget-style late 90s 16bit PnP ISA soundcard, and it is the last ALS-Chip with a dedicated Yamaha OPL3-clone - well known as the LS262 chip. The later cards from Avance Logic like the ALS100plus and the ALS120 comes with an integraded FM-Unit called ALSFM - see my other videos for comparison. So with this card, sound and music output quality is quite good and thats why i would prefer the ALS100 nonplus to its successors. Some of the later 100+/120 cards are known to have a weak s/n ratio and noise-level, but maybe this is due to low quality PCBs and components of that cards, not the Chip itself. A special feature of this card is its compatibility to SB16 instead of just SB Pro like the most other soundcards of that time.
