Basic Life Support (BLS) Adult 2-Rescuer
BLS attempts to slow or prevent damage until advanced care becomes available. The purpose of Adult 2-Rescuer BLS is to learn how to work within a resuscitation team in order to: initiate the Chain of Survival, deliver high-quality chest compressions to promote circulation to the brain and other vital organs, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and when, provide rescue breathing, treat a choking victim. This video will demonstrate how 2 rescuers respond in a situation where an adult has collapsed and become unresponsive. Written content provided by Holly Lindberg, MD.
