Can You Clear Coat Over Primer - 1989 Dodge Caravan Rust Repair and Paint Job

Thank you for watching! We hope you like the video and consider subscribing! In this video we take a 1989 Dodge Caravan and give it a much needed cosmetic overhaul. We are also trying a little paint experiment. Can you clear coat over primer? I am asking you can it be done? we don't know, and couldn't find the info anywhere on youtube. The van was not in awful shape considering its age. There were some spots that were rotted away that needed some welding and patch panels put in place. First we took everything off the van that we didn't want painted, then started fixing all the rust and sanded down the entire car. We used Omni Primer and Rouge clearcoat. The results were pretty god! We would do things a little different if we do this again and we still don't know long term durability. I can imagine if we spent more time on preparing a better vehicle, the results would look even better. But now we know it works...again we just don't know if it lasts haha.
